Description

Mobility programmes have shown to enhance learners' skills, autonomy, confidence, and open-mindedness. They also help learners define their future careers and life choices, with participants experiencing shorter transitions from education to employment. Existing programmes like Leonardo and Erasmus+ have attempted to target those with fewer opportunities, including young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs) but with limited success. This publication outlines possible approaches ESF managing authorities can take to successfully engage NEETs. It equally features experiences from partnership building, network formation and capacity building. Lastly, lessons learned regarding the support for project participants are shared, including for example mentoring and peer support.
