Description

The article examines the characteristics and processes of the second chance schools, their educational, labour, and social functions, and their mission and institutional identity. The research highlights the importance of these schools in addressing educational inequality and promoting social inclusion, especially for vulnerable youth.  It also explores the challenges these institutions face in providing tailored educational pathways and the strategies they employ to overcome these obstacles. Additionally, it underscores the role of community involvement and support in enhancing the effectiveness of second chance schools.
