In the analyses in Romanian pre-university education system from the perspective of statistical indicators: evidence based policies, the Institute of Education Sciences synthesised and elaborated statistical data on the Romanian pre-university education system.

It covers the school year 2013/14 and the main trends from the period 2009/10 to 2013/14. Vocational education and training (VET) is described using the following indicators: school enrolment rate, the average duration of vocational education attendance, the transition rate, and the rate of school dropout.

Through such data analyses, this study aims to support decision-makers and stakeholders, enabling them to measure the distance towards established objectives, identify obstacles, discuss facts underlying education policies, and compare outputs with benchmarks at national and international level.
