This is an open call for tenders for the provision of servers and storage hardware, ancillary equipment, related software, maintenance and support services in the context of a multiyear framework contract.
The set of specifications and requirements contained hereafter are for upgrading the present server farm of Cedefop, currently containing a group of more than 50 server components housed in one location which provide the central processing and storage power and capacity required by all Cedefop's operations.The upgrading comprises of gradual acquisition of hardware accompanied by the associated software and the related services. This is a continuation of the multi-year acquisition plan of Cedefop's ICT Department for server and storage hardware, software and services started back in 2001, laying down the foundations of a regularly renewed central computing infrastructure capable to support the Centre's increasing needs in power and storage, highly responsive to increased functional complexity of its IT environment, while staying flexible to technology shifts.
This call has been published in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union 2011/S 160-263011 of 23/08/2011.
Deadline of submitting tenders: 06/10/2011 (17h00 for hand-delivered tenders).
