Art. 122.1 ustawy o systemie oświaty (Dz.U. 2017 poz. 59). The change was introduced in January 2017 and has been in force since September 2017 (previously the instrument was regulated by Art. 70b ustawy o systemie oświaty (Dz.U. 2004 nr 256 poz. 2572).

No official objective of the instrument stated in the legal act

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy is responsible for the overall management, monitoring and evaluation of the instrument. The Ministry of Education is also involved in the management. Regional/local authorities, respective to the residence of a young worker and the Voluntary Labour Corps (Ochotnicze Hufce Pracy) are responsible for the reimbursement of wages and social insurance contributions.

All companies hiring young people and having apprenticeship contract with them for occupational training.

State

Maximum share of public co-financing: 60% (min. 40% contribution is required from the beneficiary). The amount of grant is fixed: PLN 8,081 (approx. EUR 1,905) (at time of this research), subject to valorisation on the basis of the general consumer price index.

Funds are disbursed to all eligible applicants on the basis of the legal entitlement.

It is not specified which cost are eligible. The instrument may support any apprenticeship related costs.

In 2016 and 2015, the public funding amounted to EUR 63,021,586 and EUR 59,464,758 respectively.

There is currently an ongoing reform of vocational education and training, which may affect the instrument in the forthcoming 3 years. So far the reform is affecting mostly the curricula for certain professions and in general the structure of the VET education (new type of school is being introduced: szkoła branżowa), but so far the co-funding instrument for dual VET has not been changed.
