European network of independent experts in lifelong guidance and career development, set up to collect comparable and reliable knowledge, evidence and information on lifelong guidance systems and career development in Europe (EU, EFTA/EEA).

CareersNet:

provides access to detailed information on lifelong guidance policy and practices and promoting informed decision-making on their transfer and adaptation;
informs design and implementation of Cedefop guidance resources and tools;
facilitates cross-national comparative analysis of national lifelong guidance systems and initiatives and increasing focus on understanding the effectiveness and results of guidance;
monitors countries in national policy development and progress towards the European Guidelines for Policies and Systems Development and towards the objectives in the Council Resolution on better integrating lifelong guidance into lifelong learning strategies (2008).
