Cohesion policy support for youth employment

The report identifies achievements, implementation challenges and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to strengthen support for young people, particularly those at risk of unemployment and labour market exclusion.  More specifically, the report highlights the need to ensure the cohesion of policy funding targeting youth employment through monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, to improve the effectiveness of EU-funded hiring incentives for young people, and lastly to provide more targeted support to inactive young people.
