This article presents five key insights from Generation’s decade-long experience delivering training and employment programmes for young people. Drawing on programme data across countries, it highlights the importance of aligning training with labour market demand, providing holistic support, focusing on employment outcomes, and addressing barriers faced by disadvantaged youth. The findings offer practical lessons for designing effective interventions that support young people’s transition into sustainable employment. They also highlight the importance of active participation and engagement in education and training programs as a determining factor for successful transition to the labour market.
