Instrument for the comparative measurement of future labour market trends in Europe (EU Member states plus Iceland, North Macedonia, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey), offering quantitative projections of the future trends in employment by sector of economic activity, occupational group and education level.
Comment
- The European skills forecast acts as an early warning mechanism to help alleviate potential labour market imbalances and support different labour market actors in making informed decisions. It does not aim to replace existing national forecasts;
- it provides projections on labour force, employment and job openings (by country, gender and age group) for a time horizon of 10-15 years ahead.
