Form of crowdsourced work, whereby internet-based digital platforms and networks are used to connect organisations or individuals to carry out tasks, to solve specific problems or to provide specific services in exchange for payment.

    • software development and technology work (e.g. data science, game development, mobile development);
    • writing and translation work (e.g. article writing, copywriting, proofreading, translation);
    • micro tasks (e.g. object classification, tagging, content review, website feedback);
    • interactive services (e.g. language teaching, interactive online lessons, interactive consultations);
  • offline services, such as:
    • transportation and delivery (e.g., driving, food delivery, moving);
    • on-location services (e.g. housekeeping, beauty services, photography).
