- Short description
Companies existing for at least one year and employing and providing training to previously unemployed adults can apply for the grant. The eligible costs of training are refunded to the company. Eligible costs include fees and other costs related to the training. The training participant receives a bonus for activity and for transport. The standard cost of the training is in proportion to the amount of training provided (for 2-month training: EUR 526; for 3-month training: EUR 732). The funds are allocated via public tender, including preferential treatment (receiving extra points in the tender) when employing specific vulnerable groups. The same applicant can re-use the grant after a break of a particular period.

- The Employment Service of Slovenia is in charge of the operation/management of the funds. The ESS is obliged to report the operation/management to the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. The funds (80% EU-provided, 20% SI-provided) are allocated each year to the selected employers who provide on-the-job training to selected candidates (registered unemployed persons). The employers who provide co-financed on-the-job training are selected through an annual public tender.

- Eligible company: - Must be registered in the Business Register of Slovenia. - Existing longer than 1 year. - Has IBAN open in Slovenia. - Has employed persons at least 3 months prior to the submission for a grant. - Has legal permission for its business and is applying for a grant for opening on-the-job training position that is in the field of its registered business. - Will implement training in Slovenia.

- Groups with preferential treatment (receiving extra points in the tender) are companies employing: - persons who have not been involved in any programme in the last 2 years; - persons with greater opportunities for successful completion of the program; - persons with greater opportunities to continue employment after the end of the program; - persons with social and health barriers; - long-term unemployed.

- The applicants have to meet pre-determined criteria. The company that trains an individual under the programme gets a refund of the eligible training costs. In addition, the training participant receives a (financial) bonus for activity and for transport which is transferred directly to their account. Training of the participant lasts from 2-3 months (depending on the type of training and/or the participant's age): 2 months (for less demanding jobs) or 3 months (for more demanding jobs and for persons under the age of 30). A person participates in training 40 hrs/pw (full-time) in accordance with the programme. The funds are allocated via public tender.

21-01-2020. Release of a new public tender. Some changes in the amount of budget allocation and financing structure: in the previous tender (for the year 2019) approximately 2,4 million was intended for the programme; in the latest public tender, (for the years 2020/2021) 3,8 million is intended for the programme. Release of a new public invitation.

An additional target group for the training was added in the latest public tender: older than 30 who became unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic
