- Short description
Specific types of organisations (self-employed, companies, unions of entrepreneurs or non-profit organisations) receive public contributions to their training costs for particular types of training activities and groups of employees. Preferential treatment is given to SMEs. The co-funding share is 25% at the lower bound and 50% at the higher bound. The eligible education and training activities include continuing education and training of employees and/or managers, internship in foreign companies.

An applicant may be: self-employed person, company listed in the commercial register, union of entrepreneurs, professional union, listed in the register of non-profit organisations and foundations, a regional development centre (MAK), if the beneficiaries are employers; an incubator if beneficiaries are entrepreneurs or private individuals participating in pre-incubation; preferential treatment: for specialised training, SMEs have a lower joint financing rate than large companies (see 'financing formula')

SMEs are entitled to a higher share of pulic co-financing for firm-specific traning (35%) as compared to large companies (25%).

continuing education and training of employees and/or managers (general and company/sector specific ); - participation at the professional conferences held outside Estonia; - 6-month internship in foreign companies, a joint visit of a foreign trade fair if, before visiting the exhibition the objectives and expected results of the visit are defined and after the visit the content related results are summarized in the form of a training or a seminar; other activities supported:

Public co-financing: 50%; co-financing is lower in case of firm-specific training:
- for SMEs and firm-specific training: 35%
- for bigger companies and firm-specific training: 25%.
Maximum amount that can be allocated to a company during the whole period of the measure (valid since 1 November 2010): EUR 64 000; minimum amount per project: EUR 1 600; maximum amount per project: EUR 5 000 (duration of the project: up to 12 months).
De-minimis regulation is applied.Allocation: money is transferred directly to a company on a first-come, first-served basis. Reimbursement principle.
