Description
This report aims to highlight the contribution of blended learning to social inclusion through flexible educational pathways as part of a whole-school approach. Blended learning combines traditional face-to-face instruction with digital and online methods, offering a range of benefits such as improved student performance, increased engagement, and support for diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
European initiatives and national policies support its integration, emphasising the importance of continuous professional development for teachers to enhance their digital skills. Despite challenges like ensuring equal access to technology, the future of blended learning looks promising with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), adaptive learning technologies, and immersive technologies like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
