Description

In the present article, the degree of autonomy of the new entrants in training programs of the Patras Public Experimental Vocational Training Institute (PEVTI) at the beginning of the academic year 2021-2022 is investigated. At the same time, the results of the present study are compared with those of the research of the previous year, as a long period of social distancing and exclusion intervened between the two studies due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The research showed that only 55% of the participants were able to complete both phases of the enrolment, online and in person, alone. The degree of autonomy of the participants during the online enrolment was reduced by 8 percentage points while the degree of autonomy during the in-person enrolment was reduced by 19 percentage points.
