This study investigates international NEET rates and identifies successful initiatives that have helped reduce these rates. More specifically, it offers a comparative data analysis on trends in NEET rates (ages 15–24) across OECD countries between 2015 and 2023, and draws on case studies from Australia, Denmark, France, and the Netherlands.

According to the study, countries that have successfully reduced or maintained low NEET rates share a set of core practices that include    early and sustained engagement, holistic and tailored support, as well as employer and stakeholder engagement.

Finally, the study proposes policy recommendations for reducing NEETs rates in the context of the UK.
