- Green jobs are usually located in sectors that are essential for producing sustainable goods and services, as well as for implementing relevant regulations and legislation;
- they cover all levels of skills and qualifications;
- green jobs encompass:
- occupations that contribute to preserving or restoring the quality of the environment;
- activities related to both mitigation of – and adaptation to – climate change;
- every job can potentially become greener: as the transition to a green economy intensifies, what is considered a green job today might not continue to be so regarded.
