Study Allowances and Study Loans Act. Ministry of Education and Research supervises the implementation of this law. Based on the Act every school has its own regulation.

Ministry of Education and Research supervises the implementation of the Study Allowances and Study Loans Act. Based on the Act, VET schools have their own regulations. They are responsible for collecting applications and paying/distributing the allowances.

The instrument funds apprenticeship and other types of education and training. It applies to EQF 2-5 (ISCED 251,351,354) levels.

The maximum amount that an apprentice may receive per year is EUR 600 (EUR 60 per month x 10 months).

The funds are disbursed to the priority applicants (identified through top-down procedures). The grant is transferred to learner's bank account.
