Description

This study reveals the different perspectives of young people and educators on the key risk factors for early school leaving (ESL). While educators tend to focus on structural issues and personal challenges, young people emphasise the importance of social relationships and school environment. The findings suggest that young people are more likely to leave school due to factors such as bullying and uncomfortable learning environments, whereas educators highlight the impact of limited resources and the stringent school policies that they may not fully address the complex nature of ESL.
