Dr Jeff Bridgford is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Education and Professional Studies at KIng's College London.
Until relatively recently he was a Special Adviser and Non-Executive Director at the European Trade Union Institute. He was also the trade union representative on the Advisory Group of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).
Prior to this he was a lecturer in universities in France and the United Kingdom (1975-1990), the founding Director of the European Trade Union College (1990-2007), and the Director of the Association pour la Formation Européenne des Travailleurs aux Technologies (1995-2007).
He has written widely on different aspects of education and training and also industrial relations in Europe. His latest publication 'Towards a quality framework for apprenticeships and work-based learning: best practices and trade union contributions' was written for unionlearn and the European Trade Union Confederation.
