Mrs Fotini Vlachaki is the Director of the Career Guidance Directorate at the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (ΕOPPEP) – Euroguidance Centre of Greece, a public body supervised by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs, Culture and Sports. She holds a postgraduate Master’s Diploma in “Counselling and Vocational Guidance” and has studied Philosophy, Pedagogics and Psychology with specialty in Psychology in the University of Athens. She possesses over 15 year previous professional experience in lifelong learning policy and practice and the provision of Counselling and Career Guidance Services in educational and training settings and also in the field of adult training.
Her responsibilities include the coordination of the Euroguidance Network and the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network activities at national level. She is also managing several EOPPEP national guidance projects, which contribute to the promotion of career guidance in Greece and to the upgrading of the services provided in accordance with the latest career guidance developments and the EU priorities and guidelines. She possesses deep knowledge knowledge of the EU work methodology and goals as well as the EU VET and lifelong learning policies and initiatives, and related lifelong guidance, employment and social policies and priorities. As part of her involvement in the Euroguidance and ELGPN, she has been working hard to support the synergies of both European networks. She has been involved in leading the Euroguidance Strategy Working Group, contributing a lot to raising the effectiveness and better internal organization of the network.
