Ben Gittus is Director of Standards for the European Observatoire for Sport and Employment (EOSE). EOSE works with members and partners across Europe to promote quality vocational education linked to the labour market in sport. EOSE has developed the innovative “7 Step Model” which supports the implementation of the European Tools in the sports sector. Ben has a Masters degree in Sports Development and worked for many years at the Sector Skills Council for the sport sector in the UK. Ben has been involved in many EU funded projects to support VET in the sport sector. Ben’s main area of activity is in the development of National Occupational Standards, one of his most recent projects was to develop standards and vocational education for sports management in the UK. Ben’s work has also taken him outside of Europe to support the development of vocational education and training in the Middle East in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. EOSE is very happy to share its experiences and methodologies with representatives from other sectors. |
