Comment

Eurostat defines early leaver as an individual aged 18 to 24:

  • whose highest level of education or training attained is, at most, lower secondary;
  • who received no education or training in the four weeks preceding the Labour force survey;
  • this term is close, but not synonymous with: dropout.
