- Short description
Skilled and unskilled workers who want to improve their competencies through a diploma programme or academy professional degree are entitled to this grant. Workers can get as much as DKK 10 000 (approx. 1 340 EUR) annually for user fees on the training programmes. Every year from 2018-2021, a total of DKK 65 000 000 / DKK 8 700 000 (approx. EUR 8 698 096 / EUR 1 164 207 ) is devoted to the fund. Eligible costs include tuition fees/fees for participation (external providers). The funds are distributed between the different educational institutions weighted after a basis of allocation is renewed every year.

- The main aim of the Transition Fund is to secure and improve the mobility at the labour market. The Transition Fund supports skilled and unskilled workers who want to improve their competences through a diploma programme or academy profession degree.

- The Agency for Institutions and Educational Support administrates and control the Transition Fund. The student applies for the grant through the educational institutions. When the subsidy is granted, the educational institution does not charge a participation fee (until the year's funds of the Transition Fund have been used up).
- Eligible group(s)
- The specific target group is skilled and unskilled employess who enroll in education modules in either Academy profession degrees or Diploma programmes (meaning only these two degrees are eligible for this fund). Individual must be employed at the start of the course and: a) Must be employed as a full-time or part-time employee in Denmark. b) In this context, self-employed are not perceived as employees and cannot receive grants. c) Employers cannot receive subsidies as they are not perceived as employees. d) Full-time students in higher education cannot receive grants.
