 Gerard Walker is Senior Policy Advisor, Human Capital and Labour Market Policy Department within Forfás. He is responsible for project management, research and policy support to the Expert Group on Future Skill Needs. The Group advises Government on future skills and labour market issues impacting on enterprise and employment growth. Forfás is the government agency, which provides policy advice on enterprise, trade, science, technology and innovation. He formerly worked as Policy Analyst with the National Economic and Social Forum under the auspices of the Department of the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) on the preparation of national reports on economic, social and equality issues. Prior to that he worked as Manager, Programme Development FÁS- Training & Employment Authority with responsibility for the development and evaluation of labour market programmes.
