 Bernd Dworschak is researcher in the Competence Team ‘Competence Management’ at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering in Stuttgart, Germany. He studied sociology and English literature at the universities of Tübingen (Germany) and Leicester (UK). Ongoing and recent activities include the coordination of the network FreQueNz ‘Network for early identification of skill needs’ funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. This network is also member of Skillsnet – the European network on early identification of skills needs by Cedefop. Apart from the early identification of skill needs his research interests include HRM concepts for ageing workforces as well as forms of learning at work with a focus on low-skilled employees. On these issues he carried out several projects and published divers publications and articles.
