Massimiliano Tancioni Print E-mail
Massimiliano Tancioni, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at the faculty of Economics, Sapienza University of Rome, where he teaches time series econometrics and financial econometrics. His main research areas are macroeconomic theory, applied macroeconomics, DSGE modelling with goods and labor market imperfections; innovation, financial markets and business cycles.
His activity on macro-modelling extends beyond the current research areas. He has projected and currently develops a number of medium and large-scale models for Italian and European institutions. Among the most important of these models, he developed large-scale models for the simulation of  effects of the pension reform options on public finances (for the Italian statistical office, Istat in 2000-03, the Department of Economic Affairs of the Italian Prime Minister in 2007-08, and the Italian Treasury in 2010, a general equilibrium model based on input-output relations for the analysis of the economic effects of energy disruptions (for the European Commission in 2008-10). He currently leads the development of the Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini's hybrid labor market model.
