Tobias Maier Print E-mail
MaierTobias Maier studied Politics and Management at the University of Konstanz, Germany, between 2002 and 2009. After leaving University with the Master of Arts he began 2009 as Researcher in the Department ‘Qualifications, Occupational Integration and Employment’ at the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) in Bonn, Germany.
There, he is strongly involved in the QUBE-project, which aims on early detection of qualification and skill needs in Germany. Therefore, the consortium of the QUBE-project (BIBB, IAB, GWS and FIT) forecasts the demand and supply of skills and occupations. In addition to that, Tobias Maier is project leader for the econometric simulation and forecast model for vocational training supply and demand (PROSIMA). His further research fields include occupational flexibility as well as the development of the education system and the labour market.
Since 2009 Tobias Maier is regularly invited as a country expert to the Cedefop project ‘skill needs and supply in Europe’.
