 Nils Martin Stølen is Doctor in National Economics from University of Oslo 1993 with the thesis ‘Wage formation and the macroeconomic functioning of the Norwegian labour market’. After completing his Master study in National Economics in 1980 and Military services in 1981, he has been employed at the Research Department of Statistics Norway. His main research areas have been in macroeconomics, labour market, wage formation, public finance, taxes and pensions. In addition to some work with labour market projections, the main research effort in the last years has been devoted to analyses on the effects of reforms of the Norwegian pension system using the dynamic micro simulation model MOSART. His present position is Senior Researcher and Head of Research Unit for Public Economics. Back to Speakers List
