Hector Pollitt is an associate director at Cambridge Econometrics (CE)with responsibility for delivery of international modelling projects for impact assessment, for policy analysis and for forecasting.He leads on the application and development of the large-scale E3ME and E3MG models at CE. This includes application for impact studies and forecasting exercises, notably for energy-environment-economy analysis and detailed sectoral analysis, including current employment projections across Europe for Cedefop's analysis of occupational skills requirements and of available labour supplies. Other notable contributions include recent submissions for the 2009 London G20 summit and the European Commission’s analysis of the outcomes of the Copenhagen summit, and inputs to impact assessments for several European policy directorates. His expertise in modelling extends beyond the use of CE’s models and he regularly works with other modelling organisations. He has carried out several model review exercises and has recently produced model inventories for the UNFCCC and the EC. Back to Speakers List |
