Klara Skubic Ermenc is an assistant professor at the Department of Educational Sciences, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, since 2007. In 2004, she received her Ph.D. in Education. Between 2004-2007, she worked at the National Institute for Vocational Education and Training in Ljubljana as a senior consultant for the development of VET.
She teaches undergraduate courses: Comparative Pedagogy, Educational Systems, and postgraduate courses: Educational Strategies in Europe and Intercultural Pedagogy. Her research interest include: differentiation and tracking in upper secondary education, curriculum development in VET, VET and equity, concepts of knowledge in pedagogy, interculturalism in pedagogy.
She is a member of Comparative Education Society Europe. In 2010, she was appointed a member of Government Expert Team for the Development of Slovenian Qualifications Framework.
