 Sirkka-Liisa Kärki is Head of Qualifications Unit and Counsellor of Education, Vocational Education Department in the Finnish National Board of Education (FNBE), where she works for 16 years. She is currently responsible for developing of vet-qualifications system, National requirements and National core curricula of qualifications and their implementation as well as EQF/NQF and ECVET implementation. At European level, she is a Member of the ECVET-technical working group of the European Commission since 2002 and a Member of EQF-Advisory Group and Member of ECVET-Users’group. She has been Senior Adviser in the Finnish National Board of Education for 4 years, Assistant Director of Nursing College for 5 years and Teacher of Nursing for 7 years. She holds a Teacher of nursing diploma (1979) from the Institute of Health Care Education in Oulu, a University degree, Master of Arts in Education (1985), from the University of Joensuu and she has also completed studies in postgraduate education in education/health care in the University of Kuopio.
