Engineer, teacher and doctor of science education, he is a professor at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium, an expert for UNESCO, UNICEF and the OIF (Organisation internationale de la Francophonie), and chairman of BIEF (Bureau International de l'éducation française). He follows closely the curriculum reforms in many countries, especially in those where he advises on guidelines for evaluation of student achievement (Belgium, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, etc.).
