Drs. Simon Broek (the Netherlands) is senior researcher and managing partner at Ockham IPS (Institute for Policy Support) and has been involved in many European research projects on education policy. He conducted among others, studies on quality in adult learning, the implementation of the EQF, study on EQF level 5 qualifications, on the role of qualifications in governing qualifications, innovation in higher education and recently, a study on the implementation of the Dutch NQF (NLQF).
He worked for different contractors such as Cedefop, the European Commission, European Parliament, Dutch Ministry of Education and others. Simon publishes about his studies in academic journals, holds presentations both in the Netherlands and elsewhere and provides lectures for various groups of people and organisations. He has a background in philosophy.
