Julian Stanley, Head of Centre, Centre for Education and Industry, University of Warwick has 18 years’ experience as a vocational teacher and senior manager in schools and 13 years’ experience as a researcher and evaluator at the University of Warwick. Julian has led many research projects relating to pedagogy and curriculum in vocational education, enterprise education and employer engagement and partnership with education.
Julian played a key role in developing the structure, standards and assessment for a national suite of vocational qualifications in England, known as the 14-19 Diploma. Julian is currently directing research into teaching and learning methods in vocational education and training for the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Education (Cedefop) and had previously carried out comparative research in relation to curriculum development and the experience of VET across Europe.
