Ward Nouwen attained a Masters degree in Sociology (University of Leuven, 2008) and is since 2013 working as PhD researcher for the Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies (University of Antwerp) in the Resl.eu research project on Reducing Early School Leaving in Europe. Ward Nouwen was previously working in research on segregation in Flemish primary education (SinBa, FWO) and school careers of pupils with and without an immigrant background in Flemish secondary education (Oprit14, IWT).
