Simona Plienaityte works as the Chief Specialist for the Education Supply Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania since 2007. As the acting leader for Lithuanian and European Union educational programs, she has spearheaded several contemporary educational projects. This is exemplified by her role in the “Alternative Education” project and the implementation of a methodology of productive learning. Productive learning is an educational approach which combines learning at school with learning at a practical learning site. Therefore, knowledge and practical skills are very tightly interrelated.
Simona’s personal interests include her love of travel, playing the saxophone and writing prose. She speaks English, Finnish, Russian, German and Lithuanian.
