Professor, Deputy Director of the Centre for Political Research and Documentation and former Head of the Department of Political Science (2009- 2011). He was Visiting Professorial Fellow in the Faculty of Policy and Society at the University of London/ IoE (2012), while he cooperates with the Centre for Life Chances in Knowledge Economies and Societies (LLAKES) in London. He was recently a Special Adviser in the European Commission (2012- 2013). He participated the European Commission Education & Training Coordination Group (ETCG/2005-2010), the Standing Group on Indicators and Benchmarks (SGIB/ 2007- 2012) while he was a member of the Advisory Board of the United Nations DP/ Regional Centre for Public Administration Reform (UNDP/ RCPAR-- 2008- 2011)..He cooperates (as an external evaluator) with the FCT of the Ministry of Research and Technology of Portugal.. Additionally, he has also participated in activities of the OECD's Institutional Management in Higher Education. 93 publications in Greek, English and French. He is the author of 6 books, while he has also edited 6 books and participated in 23 Research projects.
