Mai Beilmann (MA) is an analyst at the Centre for Applied Social Sciences (CASS) and a junior researcher at the Institute of Social Studies of the University of Tartu (Estonia). She graduated from the University of Tartu with a master’s degree in sociology and currently she is doing her PhD in sociology at the University of Tartu, but for two and a half years she studied and researched also at the University of Konstanz (Germany). Her research at CASS is mainly focused on young people and educational issues, including the reasons for early leaving education and training. With her colleagues she has recently published research reports on the reasons for leaving vocational training in Estonia.
