Christoph Meng is senior research at the Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) at Maastricht University with extensive experience in both national as well international research settings. His main current responsibilities are the annual school-leavers surveys, covering graduates from all types of Dutch education and Early School leavers. Christophe Meng graduated in Economics from the University of Zurich in 1997. In 1998 he obtained his Masters’ degree in International Economics at Maastricht University where he also obtained his PhD in 2006. His main research interests are the transition from school to work, determinants of drop-outs, the acquisition and role of competencies and gender-based wage-gaps. In line with his research interest, he has been invited as expert in the topics of youth unemployment and Early School Leavers at both public hearings at the European Parliament as well as congresses/seminars organized by the European Commission.
