He is a graduate from the Department of Forestry and Natural Environment, Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.T.h.) Greece (a 5 years studies advanced university degree). He holds a Doctoral Diploma in Forestry Science specialized to Forest Genetics, by the above mentioned Department in cooperation with LM University of Munich, Germany. During his postgraduate studies, studied, for two academic years, in (MSc) Plant Genetics and Breeding in the Dept. of Agriculture of the A.U.Th. He has collaborated as postdoctoral visitor researcher, with Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain. He has cooperated as external researcher, with the National Agricultural Greek Research Foundation. He has been for 5 semesters scientific and laboratory associate in Technological Educational Institutes, as well a trainer in VET Public Institutes for a total period of 10 semesters. The year 2000 after his succefull participation to national competition (ASEP), got a permanent job position as civil servant joined the Authority of the Region of Attica, Greece. Since September 2008 till today Dr. Gallis placed at the position of Director in Vocational Educational Public Institute (VET) after succefull participation in relative national selection competitions. He has published as first author several scientific papers as well posters to national and international conferences. He has participated in several activities such as Leonardo Da Vinci study visits, Gruntdvig in service training courses, etc. through the Long Life Learning of European program. Since the year 2007 up to today participated to Certification exams of graduate of VET Institutes from many positions, i.e. eexaminer, assessor, responsible of examination centre, vice chairman for the theoretical section of exams. Since the year 2008 till today Dr. Gallis is also invited lecturer in National Centre of Public Administration and Local Government of Greece. He is member of several scientific associations and recently became certified trainer for Long Life Learning Centres of Greece.
