Jean-Louis Dayan is an expert of employment, training and
labour market policies in France. After having taught economics in
high school from 1974 to 1984, he has been successively working,
as a consultant and as a manager, in research and statistics
departments of the Ministries of:

• Economy and Finances (1984-1988)
• Labour, employment and vocational training (1988-1992
   and 1996-2006)
• Unemployment assurance system (UNEDIC, 1992-1993)
• National institute for statistics (INSEE, 1993-1996)

In the same time he has been teaching as an associate Professor
(labour economics) at Paris 1 University since 1997.

Since 2007, he is in charge of labour market policies and
vocational training issues at Centre d’analyse stratégique (CAS), a
new strategy unit within Prime Minister Services.
