Lifelong guidance
Cedefop’s lifelong guidance project reviews Member States’ progress in implementing the Council resolutions on lifelong guidance (2004, 2008). To this end, Cedefop carries out research, organises knowledge sharing events and cooperates with the European Commission and Member States through the European lifelong guidance policy network (ELGPN). - On 30 June four EU agencies held a joint seminar at the European Parliament on the all too topical issue of youth employment. The agencies, Cedefop, Eurofound, ETF and EU-OSHA, each presented their work, which ranged across several related topics.

- Rising importance of guidance for ageing workers (05/10/2010)
- Spirited debate on an issue that is of critical importance to Europe’s labour market was the hallmark of Cedefop’s workshop on guidance for ageing workers (September 30-October 1). The workshop aimed to identify the best ways to offer career guidance to ageing workers, who constitute an increasingly important share of the workforce.

- Call for papers: Guidance and counselling for ageing workers (31/05/2010)
- Cedefop is planning a two-day international workshop on guidance and counselling for ageing workers, to be held in Thessaloniki on 30 September and 1 October 2010. The aim of the workshop is to bring together an international forum of researchers and experts in order to gather the latest insights on guidance and counselling for ageing workers and to learn from best practices. Cedefop intends to publish the best contributions in a conference reader.
