The Research Support Service is an adaptation of Cedefop’s Library and documentation service to better support the information needs of the agency’s core activities. It contributes to Cedefop’s goals of being acknowledged as an authoritative source of information on VET, skills and competences while ensuring that all projects receive timely, relevant and reliable information.
Hence, we have two in-house tools that help us fulfill this purpose: the VET-Bib library’s catalogue and the Cedefop Discovery Tool (Summon).
Cedefop’s bibliographical database offers to stakeholders a selective collection of European vocational education and training literature.
Developed together with Cedefop’s European network of reference and expertise (ReferNet), which comprises representatives from the 27 Member States, candidate countries, plus Iceland, Norway and the United Kingdom.
VET-Bib also includes key EU documents consulted and needed by Cedefop experts and projects and selected bibliographical information from Cedefop’s projects.
Automatic tool filled with essential scientific information and open access journals from major sources selected by Cedefop, mostly emphasizing in academic publications related to VET, skills, labor market and education.
Researchers may be interested in the archives of Cedefop. They are deposited with the European University Institute in Florence and include the documents produced by the Head of Administration and Management Board the years 1975 to 1984. For more information on the Cedefop collection, please see the European University Institute.
