The European e-Skills 2006 Conference, to be held at Cedefop on 5-6 October, is another milestone on the road to creating a long-term strategy for e-skills in Europe.
Organised by the European Commission and Cedefop in partnership with leading ICT companies, the conference will bring together 150 leading participants from government, academia, the ICT industry and social partner organisations.

The conference will examine issues such as the lifelong acquisition of skills, global sourcing and the new working environment, and the certification of e-skills. Also on the agenda is social partner cooperation, which will examine ways of building e-learning partnerships among the various stakeholders.
