European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)

Decentralised agency of the European Union which provides the Union institutions and bodies, the Member States, the social partners and other actors involved in safety and health at work with relevant technical, scientific and economic information and qualified expertise in that field in order to improve the working environment as regards the protection of the safety and health of workers.

EU-OSHA key activities are:

  • Healthy workplaces campaigns: 2-year campaigns to raise awareness of occupational safety and health (OSH) topics across Europe;
  • Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) project: online risk assessment tools for small and medium-sized enterprises to assess and manage risks in the workplace;
  • ESENER survey: snapshot of how safety and health risks are managed in European workplaces;
  • OSHwiki: collaborative online encyclopaedia of accurate and reliable information on OSH;
  • Foresight projects: highlights and studies on new and emerging risks in OSH through dedicated foresight projects;
  • OSH overviews: overviews on specific OSH topics and identification of priorities;
  • NAPO films: series of short, light-hearted films on important workplace safety and health topics.
