Digital skills post-covid19 - Shifting gears in the digital transition

There are clear signs that the coronavirus crisis and its transformative impact is making it more difficult to thrive in jobs without solid digital skills. Presenting the latest evidence, this workshop looks at how digital skills are growing in importance and reflects on how information on digital skills can be turned into digital skills intelligence.  


Jiri Branka

Jiri Branka is a Cedefop expert in the Department for skills and the labour market. He leads the Skills Panorama project and is also responsible for data quality and analysis within the Skills in online job advertisement project.

Enrique Fernandez Macias

Enrique Fernández-Macías is currently coordinating the Employment and Skills team of the Joint Research Centre, developing a research programme on the socio-economic implications of automation, digitisation and platformisation of work. 

Jakub Kajtman

Jakub is a member of the digital skills team in DG Connect, European Commissions. He contributes to the activities and coordination of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and of EU Code Week.

Mauro Pelucchi

Mauro Pelucchi is a senior data scientist and big data engineer responsible for the design of the "Real-Time Labour Market Information System on Skill Requirements" for CEDEFOP. He currently works for Burning-Glass Europe. 

Mateo Sostero

Matteo Sostero is a scientific officer at the European Commission – Joint Research Centre in Seville, in the Human Capital and Employment unit, where he researches skills intelligence from online job advertisements.

Alessandro Vaccarino

Alessandro Vaccarino is a Senior Big Data Engineer and Data Scientist at Burning Glass Technologies. He's responsible of European Applied Research projects and of the WollyBI Platform, aimed to analyze EU Labour Market demand.
