Curriculum innovation and reform: policies and practices, a workshop to be held in Thessaloniki on 9-10 November, aims to examine how recent policies on curriculum reform are affecting learning and teaching. The workshop will look at the implementation of outcome-oriented approaches to curriculum development – particularly, but not exclusively, in vocational education and training – across Europe and beyond.
Participating experts from Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain and the United States, as well as from the European Commission, the World Bank, the OECD-CERI, and UNESCO-IBE will discuss issues such as new stakeholders in curriculum development, learning environments, teacher training, student assessment and institutional support. The workshop will also identify new lines for research.
