New Cedefop publication: Systems for anticipation of skill needs in the EU Member States

The Commissions New Skills for new jobs initiative aims to reinforce the EU strategy for growth and jobs by promoting more effective ways of anticipating skill and job requirements in Europe. Much progress has been achieved since Cedefops first review (2004) of national systems for the early identification of skill needs.

This publication, the first in the new Cedefop Working Paper series, shows how far EU Member States have come in anticipating skill needs, in what in what ways their systems differ, and which national practices are of relevance to policy-makers in other Member States.
