Guiding the guidance professionals: Cedefop reaches out to local counsellors

To present European developments in guidance, and show how they are relevant to the day-to-day work of professionals in local schools and job centres, Cedefop is organising a workshop for Greek guidance counsellors on Thursday 6 December at its premises in Thessaloniki.  The idea of the workshop was suggested at the Open Day Cedefop organised for local universities and VET schools on the occasion of Europe day in May.

Workshop topics will include:

• Skills forecasts and what they can tell guidance professionals about the future European job market; 
• How European developments are linked to the Greek National Centre for Occupational Guidance; 
• Professions with the best prospects on the Greek labour market. 

The presentations will be made by Cedefop's Public Relations manager Corinna Frey, and representatives from the Greek Centre for Professional Guidance (EKEP) and the Greek Manpower Development Organisation  (OAED).
