Flemish authorities launch qualifications framework

On the occasion of the launch of the Flemish Qualifications Framework the Flemish authorities are organising a conference, "National qualifications frameworks in an international perspective,  to be held on 30 November in Brussels. 

The Act on the Flemish Qualification Framework, adopted in April 2009, defines the scope, use and features of the qualifications process. The framework is intended to act as a reference for the development and renewal of educational and training programmes and for the comparison of qualifications.

Participants at the conference from Cedefop, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the ETF, Australia, Spain and Ireland  will discuss the international perspective and future possibilities of these frameworks, along with the objectives and future applications of the Flemish Qualifications Framework.
